TAJ MAHAL

The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum in Indian. Taj Mahal is located in Agra. This built in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.

                                                

He builds to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. But she died in childbirth in 1631. And also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself.

                                                

Shah Jaha was the fifth Mughal emperor. He reigned from 1628 to 1658. His reign represented the height of the Mughal architecture. Especially the architecture of this iconic monuments. 

                                                

And also this is one of the world’s most iconic monuments. Construction of the mausoleum essentially completed in 1643.

                                                

Estimated cost at that time to be around 32 million rupees. Approximately 827 million US Dollar. But 20,000 artisans employed in this project. 

                                                

Taj Mahal History says it designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. And it attracts 7–8 million visitors yearly from all over the world. And also it was declared a winner of the 7 Wonders of the World. 

                                                

The Taj Mahal is distinguished as the finest example of Mughal architecture. But a blend of Indian, Persian, and Islamic styles. Ustad Aḥmad Lahawrī was the architect of this Beauty. 

                                                

Five elements of the complex are main gateway, garden, mosque, jawāb and mausoleum. The mausoleum is build with white marble.
